Meet the Team – Liz Barker – Consultant

For over 17 years, Liz has gained expert knowledge and insights into the Pig Industry, enabling her to manage the recruitment and administration side of Roadhogs. She used to run all operations and recruitment at Roadhogs and has built long-lasting relationships with producers and talent whilst championing staffing for the pig industry.

We had a cuppa with Liz to find out how recruitment in the pig industry has changed over the years.

1. You joined Roadhogs over 17 years ago; how has the pig farming industry changed in that time?

The Industry has had to adapt to the current climate. Recruiting the right staff is now more of challenge than ever.
Sadly, we have seen that many of the smaller independent Pig producers are no longer with us.

5. Finally, describe your ideal Sunday.

My ideal Sunday is to go for a walk with my husband and 2 year old Labrador, Sydney!  Pop to the Pub for a quick drink and settle down to a nice roast pork dinner with good crackling – Although I can’t always guarantee to get the crackling right!!
