The indoor breeding-to-weaning unit is part of a progressive and growing family-run pig business that offers a supportive environment for career development.

Job Role:

• Farrowing-house work as part of the weekly routine
• Ensuring high standards of animal welfare and productivity

Person specification:

• Strong sow husbandry skills
• Attention to detail
• A passion for animal welfare and high standards of care
• Self-motivation and drive to achieve results
• A proactive and responsible attitude

 

Salary guide: £34,000 - £37,000 DOE 

Plus:

• Housing allowance is available for applicants who are not local
• A workplace pension

 

Hours: Approx. 7 am–5 pm, with 10 additional weekend hours every other weekend.
