We are recruiting for a Pig Stockperson for a multi-site farm in Queensland, Australia. 

The reputable sustainable family farm is 100% sow stall-free. Their sows and piglets are housed in new world-class facilities, providing the very best living environment possible, allowing them to care for their animals in the best possible way.

The producer has two indoor units.
One nucleus unit with 600 sows and one commercial unit with 1500 - 2100 sows.
The commercial unit is in the top 3% in Australia.
They have a farrow-to-finish unit that is fully slatted with weekly farrowing.

 

Person specifications:

• Ideally, 1 year in commercial pig farming
• Machinery skills would be an advantage
• Highest level of animal welfare
• Positive attitude
• Strong communication skills and a can-do attitude
• Problem-solving skills, reliability and flexibility
• The desire to be part of a diverse team

 

The producer is happy to look at applicants on the Working Holiday Visa Route or 482 visa.

Salary: $65,835 DOE + OT + Accommodation

Housing: On offer is a room in a shared house, or applicants can rent in the local town. 

Basic hours: 44 hours, plus paid overtime.
